The Client:
McGarvey Custom Homes, founded in 2001, is known for creating luxury homes with attention to detail and unparalleled craftsmanship in the Southwest Florida area. This project showcases their commitment to excellence, with custom ceiling treatments, intricate millwork, and a unique six-step paint process.
The client’s primary goal for this project was to create a cohesive coastal-inspired aesthetic throughout the home, and find a diverse range of tiles that complemented the aesthetic. Providing the home with both functionality and aesthetic while enhancing the overall design, was a key factor in this project.
The Challenge:
A significant challenge in this project was sourcing a diverse selection of tiles that could be found in one location, while fulfilling the unique design needs of each space. The client’s vision was to create a cohesive coastal-inspired aesthetic throughout the home, but with distinct characteristics tailored to each room.
The project required selecting various tiles for a master bathroom, two powder baths, three VIP bathrooms, a cabana bath, laundry room, bar area, outdoor fireplace, and kitchen backsplash. Not only was there a challenge in finding the materials, but making sure all the tiles had uniformity between them while also allow each space to have its own unique character was an additional challenge.
