Florida Design Works Has Moved to a New Downtown Sarasota Location!

Customer Check-In & Pick-up
Our Sarasota Warehouse remains open at 4500 Carmichael Avenue, Sarasota Florida. However, below you can find updated Customer Pick Up & Check-In information based on your individual needs! The following changes began October 2nd, 2023:
Warehouse & Contractors Desk – At our existing Sarasota Warehouse location, New Customer Check-in will be located at our NEW Customer Check-in Desk through Gate 4. This can be found inside the Granite showroom and production facility, and you can follow posted signs to the Customer Check-in area. New Customer Pick-Up has been moved to Gate 3, but please note that all customers must first check in at Gate 4 before proceeding to Gate 3 to receive packages.
Kauffman Glass & Mirror – Also remaining in the first warehouse of our facility, Customer Check-In will be taking place through the Warehouse 1 side entrance. Please call 941.900.6763 upon arrival for immediate assistance.
Countertop Showroom & Production – This remains at our Sarasota Warehouse/Gate 4
NO CHANGES – Our hours will remain the same. No changes will occur to our granite/quartz showroom or production facilities. If you are accustomed to visiting this location for your countertop sales and service, you can continue to do so. For customers looking to purchase quartz, tile and/or cabinetry, they can visit our downtown location for faster and more convenient all-in-one service.
Parking Information
We understand that parking can be a concern in busy downtown areas. To make your visit hassle-free, we offer various parking options:
- Complimentary Street Parking: There is ample street parking available on N. Pineapple Ave, immediately in front of our store, on 1st Street in front of the Selby Public Library, and on Palm Avenue to the west of the store. Please be mindful of time limitations on some parking spots, as many have a one-to-two-hour maximum.
- Palm Avenue Garage: The award-winning Palm Avenue Garage is just one block from Main Street on North Palm Avenue. It provides convenient parking for short or long-term stays in downtown Sarasota, and provides 6 electric vehicle charging stations on the second level. The garage will park 729 vehicles and has accessible parking spots located on each floor close to the elevators. For the garage’s Parking Rates, the first 2 hours are complimentary, the next 2-3 hours have a rate of $3.00, and then the rate lowers to $1.00 for each hour thereafter or part thereof up to $23.00 daily,
- VIP Parking: Stay tuned! Coming soon
- Loading Zone: If you’re planning a quick visit lasting 5 minutes or less, feel free to use the loading zone in front of our store for easy access to retrieve samples or return products. Just remember to turn on your hazard lights for quick pop-ins. There are also two, 30-minute parking spaces immediately in front of the Opera House ticket office available for use.
Access to the Design Works Building
You can access the Design Works building from the rear through the alley immediately behind the Palm Avenue parking garage. Simply ring the doorbell for access. While this entrance provides convenience, please note that it’s a working alley with occasional truck deliveries and commercial traffic. For a more enjoyable entrance, proceed to Pineapple and the main entrance across from the Selby Five Points Park.
